Job Details
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Electrician/Maintenance Tech to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who has a passion for problem-solving, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and improving electrical systems, with a focus on PLC knowledge. This role requires a minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar capacity.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance of electrical systems and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, including PLCs, to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
- Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and other technical diagrams.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures to ensure compliance with codes.
- Collaborate with the operations team to identify and implement improvements to production processes and equipment.
- Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and systems.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems and equipment to identify and resolve issues before they escalate.
- Recommend modifications to equipment or systems to improve safety, efficiency, or reliability.
- Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all safety regulations and practices.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, advancements, and best practices.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Electrician/Maintenance Tech in the manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with PLCs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment and systems.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and other technical diagrams.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, installation, and repair.
- Familiarity with electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- High level of attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve issues before they escalate.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- A commitment to continuous learning and development, with the ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices.
