Job Details:

We are looking for a Bilingual Accounting Manager to join our team in the biotechnology industry. This is a full time position that calls for a candidate who is fluent in English and Chinese. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounting department, providing accurate financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including: month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity etc.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
• Support month-end and year-end close process.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Additional duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or related field.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Excellent computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to direct and supervise.
• Bilingual - Fluent in English and one other language.
• Experience in the scientific industry is a plus.
