Will accept travelers that do not currently have the ONC certWill work with oncology as well as medical surgical patientsUnit Systems (Medication, Documentation, Communication): PYXIS, EPIC, SBARMust pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialtyWill accept 1st time travelersLocals AcceptedFloating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding, such as inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location.Target Ratios: 1:6-7COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Not RequiredFlu Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only

Experience in an inpatient setting is requiredCerts: Chemotherapy administration certification is required prior to start; required to obtain prior to start. Will accept travelers that do not currently have the ONC cert! BLS.PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: CPI. Charge nurse experience.
JOB DETAILS: will work with oncology as well as medical surgical patientsTarget Ratios: 1:6-7Shift:NIGHTS; Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the unit through the holidays!RTO: 7 days MAX; DAYS; 36 or 48 hours.Call Requirement: Call required if called off on a prescheduled shift.Float Requirement: Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding, such as inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location.Weekend Requirement: *EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED.** Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as neededPATIENT DIAGNOSES: High Acuity Adults and Geriatrics.**Contract staff may be required to care for patients with COVID.SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Daily Census 42.General medical-surgical diagnosis primary patient population. Administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy -IV, PO, or injection. DKA - Insulin drip, AKI, Sepsis, Cancer, Septic shock, Pain, OD, Malignant Neoplasms, ARF, Encephalopathy, FTT, Diabetic foot ulcers, Heparin drips.
UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR.
UNIT ORIENTATION: 24 hrs (2 shifts)
SCRUBS: Navy Blue and white.
