Pediatric Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care

Job DescriptionWe are searching for a Pediatric Nurse Practitionersomeone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will work under the supervision of the site physician(s) and work collaboratively with other members of the health care team to render age-appropriate care. Practicing under established protocols, the NP assumes independent responsibilities in the assessment, diagnosis, and initiation of treatment and procedures.Description:Part time 30 hours per week, average 3 shifts per week. This Nurse Practitioner will float to the North Territory which includes, The Woodlands, Kingwood and Vintage. Locations are open Monday - SundayHours: Kingwood: Weekdays 11:30am-10:00pm, weekends 9:30am-8:00pmThe Woodlands: Monday - Sunday 10a-10pQualifications: Master's degree in nursing required RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing or Nursing licensure Compact required PNP-BC certification from the Texas Board of Nursing required BLS or PALS certification from the American Heart Association requiredResponsibilities: Works independently to assess, diagnose, treat, and educate patients, consulting with physician as needed Documents information in patient's chart regarding assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and education Provides verbal and/or written information regarding treatment regimens in language that is understandable and appropriate for the patient and/or caregiver Records diagnosis/CPT in an accurate, timely manner to ensure prompt posting of charges per site protocol Participates in site meetings and provides input to address patient care issues or operational concerns Participates in site meetings and provides input to addressAbout UsTexas Children's Urgent Care offers high-quality, efficient and affordable after-hours patient care in nine convenient community locations across the greater Houston area.
