Senior Credit Analyst - Private Equity

Private Equity is the largest specialized industry group in the Bank.East West Bank is currently seeking a Sr. Credit Analyst in our Private Equity banking group. The Sr. Credit Analyst will work with the team’s Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers to perform due diligence, underwrite new credit facilities and to monitor and maintain the loan portfolio. Primary responsibilities include analyzing financial data to determine the merits of loan requests, monitoring loan covenants, and processing advances and paydowns.ResponsibilitiesWork with Portfolio Managers and Relationship Managers to prepare credit memorandums for senior management, with comprehensive analysis, for prospective and existing clientsAssist with portfolio management, including reporting monitoring and updating internal reports and compliance programsSupport senior officers in all aspects of underwriting and closing deals and managing existing relationships.Respond to client requests from client private equity firmsComplete special projects as needed for other team members and senior management.Notes policy exceptions and possible mitigatesAssist in preparing the proposal to loan committee for decisionMay collect information as part of analysisPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, banking administration or similar field; 1-2 years related experience and/or training in credit analysisCurrent college senior or recent graduate with 1-3 years of experience, ideally with credit training or experience in financial modeling and analysisStrong writing and communication skills are criticalProficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Ability to work within set timelines while maintaining quality and attention to detailExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with focus on quality and integrityFlexible and adaptable to a dynamic environmentFamiliarity with lending procedures, laws, and regulationsCompensationThe base pay range for this position is USD $67,000.00/Yr. - USD $91,000.00/Yr.
