Overview:We are seeking a motivated Accounting Analysis and Reporting (AAR) Analyst to join our team. As part of the AAR team, you will be closely involved with month-end activities, perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts, analyze financial data, assist with preparing financial and regulatory reports and board materials, analyze monthly fluctuations, and record journal entries. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of accounting or prior experience in an accounting role, preferably at a bank or financial institution (but not required).Responsibilities:Supports the Accounting Analysis and Reporting (AAR) team in the delivery of operational agenda in various areas, including but not limited to investments (securities, tax credit investments, other equity investments), consolidation, deposits, and subsidiary entitiesParticipate in the month end close process, including the reconciliation and certification of general ledger account balances and the preparation/review of journal entriesPerform analysis on monthly and quarterly general ledger accounts and financial statementsSupport the preparation/review of financial statements and various supporting schedules for 10-Q, 10-K, or other regulatory filingsPrepare monthly Board materials, including schedules that support the monthly Board packagePrepare various banking regulatory reports, such as the quarterly Call and FRY Report schedulesPrepare various schedules and reports for internal users and external auditors, and assist in the audit process including updating SOX control narratives for relevant processesAssist with analyzing draft/newly-released regulations and accounting pronouncements to assess accounting impact, as well as collaborate with treasury, financial reporting, operations or other teams to support effective transition to new regulation/standardsPerform enhancement projects or ad-hoc analysis as neededQualifications:

Solid knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and conceptsPublic company accounting experience or banking/financial institution experience preferredCPA candidate/license or MBA preferredBachelors degree (B.A.) from four-year college or universityStrong analytical, technical, organizational and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyAdvanced Microsoft Excel and Word skillsAbility to work well independently and in a teamAbility to navigate complex problems in non-standardized situationsWorking knowledge of PeopleSoft preferred

Compensation:The base pay range for this position is USD $80,000.00/Yr. - USD $90,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
