VersaTech is currently seeking an Agile

Business Analyst

to join one of our new programs working in a team environment. Our successful Business Analyst knows the importance of exemplary customer skills, is confident in extracting knowledge and/or data from requirements in a client environment and has a strong understanding of the complete software development life cycle. The Business Analyst should have the ability to understand our Social Security Administration (SSA) client business needs and help identify process improvements in its IT Governance processes.

The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience developing relationships with and communicating with multiple levels of IT and business staff. This position is remote with occasional travel to the client site in Baltimore. Salary: $100,000 - $115,000 depending on experience. Discretionary annual bonus based on performance.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for gathering and analyzing internal business requirements by means of interviews, workflow analyses and facilitated discussions with users.

Responsible for improving and streamlining business processes.

Translating users' business requirements into functional designs for solution implementation and/or process improvement.

Identifying inefficiencies by analyzing current processes to find areas for improvement.

Working with functional and/or business teams to create new processes and procedures

Conducting audits and performance assessments to ensure processes are effective

Providing training and support for new processes, tools, technologies

Documenting requirements, user stories, business process flows, user guides,

Identifies and communicates risks and issues impacting business rules, functional requirements and specifications

Assists quality assurance with functional test case reviews.

Collaborates with stakeholders on the evaluation of the feasibility, effort and costs to implement solutions or process improvements.

Participates in the creation of training materials and may assist with user orientation and training.

Interacts with internal and external peers and managers to exchange information related to areas of specialization.

Effectively resolves problems and roadblocks before they occur.

Required Qualifications:

Required: At least 4 years of experience in the following

Hands-on experience in product management and business analysis

Practical knowledge of Agile/Scrum

Requirement gathering and time management experience is critical

Strong customer service skills

Requirements specification and development, such as process/functional requirements definition methods, use case development, process flow diagrams.

Experience in requirements analysis and elicitation, tying business cases to the system or process aspects

Experience in gap analysis and identifying solutions to fill gaps specific to process improvement

Experience building communication pipelines with product owners, project teams, and other stakeholders

Experience using analytical skills, tools and techniques to investigate information and to draw conclusions.

Experience in Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) processes.

Federal Government Consulting experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Knowledge of Atlassian suite tools like JIRA and Confluence is ideal.

IT Investment Governance experience/knowledge

At least 3 years of Federal Government consulting experience

Process Modeling

Clearance Requirements:

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
