Job Description:

The Cardinal Health Pharma ecommerce team is looking for a Lead, UX Researcher to help us take our ecommerce platform to the future and beyond. We are looking for a passionate researcher and team player who will be part of a massive digital transformation effort. The Lead, UX Researcher will be responsible for uncovering any and all unmet and unstated needs of our users and establishing and maintaining a constant, growing and evolving customer feedback loop.

Essential functions:

The Lead, UX Researcher will help uncover and define user needs, analyze data gathered through various research methods and analytics, and validate whether or not digital transformation efforts are meeting the needs of our users. The Lead, UX Researcher will advocate for the customer experience and work directly with the product and research teams across multiple squads to contribute to prioritizing and specifying features. This position will identify overlaps and draw connections between JARVIS squad research as well as, Mobile app initiatives - because all touch the ordering process.

Responsibilities:

•Guide and help remove obstacles for UX research professionals

•Work with UX researchers to identify the proper research methods needed to best meet the needs of the goals of the problems we are trying to understand

•Conduct or support primary user research studies with business stakeholders and users to gain user insights around met, unmet, stated and unstated needs

•Conduct or support secondary research efforts including analytics, user recordings and feedback, survey results, customer service call logs, internal usage reports, and others

•Validate concepts and prototypes to uncover additional insights and opportunities

•Translate research data gathered into actionable recommendations that help inform future efforts and can deliver recommendations to business partners and leaders in a consumable and delightful manner

•Define user research methods that most effectively inform strategic direction on future and current transformation efforts

•Are familiar with and have used a variety of unmoderated online research tools but are just as comfortable in a moderated setting

•Partner with a digital product team working with UX, UI, product, customer support, technology and other internal business partners

Qualifications:

•Provide a digital portfolio (demonstrating professional research and problem-solving skills)

•Are a professional with 3-5 years of project and resource management experience

•Are a professional with 4-5 years of experience conducting, analyzing and communicating user research findings and insights

•Have some experience helping build robust, high-performing teams

•Have extended expertise in understanding the right methodologies for uncovering user needs and product opportunities

•Have a background in ethnography and/or cognitive science methods (ideal)

•Are deeply passionate about the user and their experiences

•Have an understanding of human-centric design principles and are passionate about user experiences

•Can demonstrate having conducted and/or utilized moderated and unmoderated testing methods and tools to gain insights from users

•Enjoy sharing your knowledge with all, as applicable

•Have a bachelors or higher degree in HCI, UX research, cognitive science or other relevant human disciplines

•Have worked in an agile or iterative work setting collaboration with your entire team

•Have worked in virtual teams

•Love learning new things and challenging yourself

•Travel when needed, about 30% of time in the future, to get to know your users

•Have created and presented your work in multiple formats, in particular slide format (think PowerPoint primarily) to upper management, stakeholders and other business partners in a consumable and enjoyable manner

•Adaptable to change and are deeply passionate about the user and their experiences, we want people who love to learn new things and challenge themselves

•Skills with evangelizing human-centric research methodologies and the purpose of each preferred

•UX design research capability and portfolio to showcase preferred

•Understanding of digital accessibility preferred

•Design-thinking badge or coaching certification preferred

•PhD in a behavioral discipline preferred

Anticipated salary range:

$121,600 - $156,300
