The Special Projects Manager will focus on two primary major projects, housing initiatives and post-employment benefits. The SPM will attend all housing related meetings, commissions, and boards. The SPM will be the liaison to other departments and community stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration. The SPM will be responsible for developing and implementing programs, services and contracts related to housing and post-employment benefits.Education Required:Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant field (e.g., Public Administration, Project Management, Social Sciences)

Experience Required:

Proven experience in project management, preferably in social development contextsStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholdersExperience in addressing housing concerns and public benefits knowledgePublic speaking experience and the development of presentationsExcellent organizational and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

Needs AssessmentGathering data, research and stakeholder feedback on the needs of the target population, those at or below 200% of the federal poverty levelSpecial attention to diversity, equity and inclusionBuilding system capacity for special projects including improving efficiency and identifying barriersDevelop a detailed workplan on how to address housing for the target populationTo include timeline, objectives, and responsibilitiesCould require contract amendments, developing standard operating procedures and/or a request for proposalsAnalysis benefit cliffs and propose opportunities to address based on research, both empirical and methods obtained by collaboration from other statesPost-employment benefits project managerResponsible for all communication regarding projects including written summaries, work plans, reports, conducting meetings and public presentations
