We are seeking a highly skilled
VMware Engineer
to join our team and take charge of designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's virtualization infrastructure. This role is pivotal in ensuring the performance, availability, and security of our virtualized environments, supporting critical business and government operations. You will manage VMware administration, troubleshoot issues, and optimize virtual machine performance to meet evolving needs.
What You'll Do:
Design and implement
VMware vSphere
solutions for server consolidation, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR).Configure and maintain
VMware ESXi hosts ,
vCenter Server , and other core VMware components.Monitor virtual infrastructure performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks to ensure optimal resource utilization.Provision, deploy, and manage
virtual machines (VMs) , templates, and snapshots.Implement and enforce security measures, including
access controls , network segmentation, and
VM isolation .Create and maintain thorough documentation on virtualization configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.Why This Role is Exciting:

Bachelor's degree
(additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree).7+ years of experience
as a VMware Engineer or in a similar role, with a proven track record of designing and managing VMware vSphere environments.Active
Secret Clearance
(required due to contract).Expertise in
VMware vSphere
features and components, including
vCenter Server ,
ESXi hosts ,
vMotion ,
HA ,
DRS , and
vSAN .Strong knowledge of backup and disaster recovery methodologies in virtualized environments.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across both technical and non-technical teams.Must be based in the
Colorado Springs, CO
area and be available for on-site work as needed.Preferred:
Certifications in
VMware Certified Associate (VCA) ,
VMware Certified Professional (VCP) , or
Certified Design Expert (VCDX) .Familiarity with
VMware NSX
for network virtualization and security.Experience working with
Homeland Security TSA
or similar government agencies.Location:
Candidates should be located near
Colorado Springs, CO , with the flexibility to work both remotely and on-site as required.
