We are seeking a highly skilled
VMware Engineer
to join our team and play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our virtualization infrastructure. You will oversee the administration, troubleshooting, and optimization of our VMware infrastructure, ensuring its performance, availability, and security.
What You'll Do:
Design and implement
VMware vSphere
solutions for server consolidation, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR).Configure and maintain
VMware ESXi hosts ,
vCenter Server , and other VMware components to support smooth operations.Monitor infrastructure performance, identify bottlenecks, and apply optimizations to improve resource utilization.Manage
virtual machines (VMs) , templates, and snapshots, ensuring efficient provisioning and deployment.Implement robust security measures, including access controls, network segmentation, and VM isolation to protect virtual environments.Document configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps to streamline virtualization operations.Why This Role is Exciting:

Bachelor's degree
(additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree).7+ years of experience
in a related field, with proven expertise in
VMware vSphere .Active
Secret Clearance
(required due to contract).Strong experience with VMware vSphere features like
vCenter Server ,
ESXi hosts ,
vMotion ,
HA ,
DRS , and
vSAN .Knowledge of backup and
disaster recovery methodologies
for virtualized environments.Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Must reside near
Annapolis, MD , and be available for on-site work when necessary.Preferred:
Certifications like
VMware Certified Associate (VCA) ,
VMware Certified Professional (VCP) , or
Certified Design Expert (VCDX) .Familiarity with
VMware NSX
for network virtualization and security.Experience working with
Homeland Security TSA .Location:
Must reside near
Annapolis, MD , with the flexibility for on-site work as needed.
