The Senior Systems Administrator will join the Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions Infrastructure & Security team, aiding in the planning, build out, security and maintenance of the corporate infrastructure and facilities. Primary responsibilities include taking a lead role in deployment of new applications and IT solutions by partnering with various departments to continuously design and implement improvements across our distributed IT infrastructure, supporting and enabling the organization's business ventures. The Senior Systems Admin will also provide hardware and software support of onsite and offsite physical and virtual servers, which includes operating system & application software maintenance and support. Secondary responsibilities include assisting engineering and operations teams with maintaining customer facing services and applications as well as mentoring and supporting junior members of the team. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, require minimal supervision, possess excellent analytical and communication skills, and be a team player with an 'I Care' attitude. Occasional user support and periodic on call duty including nights and weekends as required.What Will You Do? Implementation and support of onsite and offsite physical and virtual servers Partner with other departments within the business to design, implement and secure new systems, while improving existing ones Ability to manage large, complex projects and system implementations Take a lead role in creating project plans, providing necessary documentation and successfully executing those projects Ensure all infrastructure is protected using our backup and recovery systems Developing, implementing and ongoing testing of a Disaster Recovery strategy Utilize excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues Work closely with our Attack Surface Management team to monitor and update IT systems with the latest software patches and updates Assist our Engineering and Operations teams with maintaining customer facing services and applications, as required Provide support as 3rd tier escalation to the Ericsson EWS Service Desk Participate in a week-long on-call rotation, which would include occasional user support and availability after normal business hours as required QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: Six or more (6+) years of experience in the systems administration field of Information Technology Strong experience with Microsoft Infrastructure Products, including: Active Directory & Azure EntraID Windows Server Operating Systems and Management tools Group Policy, DNS and other core domain services Experience with virtualization technologies including VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V: Experience with maintaining SAN/Shared Storage Comfortable managing VMware ESXi and vCenter servers Familiar with Rubrik Backup system or similar backup/DR solution Experience with cloud technologies, with a focus on Microsoft Azure: Manage and maintain Azure infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage and associated resources Implement and monitor Azure security, compliance and governance policies as needed by our IT Security teams Strong proficiency with PowerShell scripting and automation Experience managing Linux operating systems (Preferably Ubuntu): Comfortable using bash Preferred Qualifications: Comfortable with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, sub-netting, etc.), protocols Experience with Okta, Microsoft EntraID or similar SSO/SAML based configurations A degree, equivalent diploma, or years of experience in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study Relevant industry certifications including, Azure Administrator, Microsoft MCSE or MCITP, and VMware VC Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions' Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging mission is to create an inclusive work environment where all employees' differences are celebrated, their thoughts matter, and everyone feels safe to bring their authentic selves to work.
