Job Summary

Assist the Systems Administrator III/Director of Technology Infrastructure & PC Support in multi-campus support of Personal Computer hardware, user support, communications, and networks. Required to travel, work flex time, and be available for rotation of on-call hours.

Responsible for demonstrating LSSC's values of caring, communicating, collaborating, and celebrating.Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, resolve problems, and maintain college's computers, laptops, printers and peripherals.Provide user support for college wide systems including software, hardware, and network for computer classrooms, faculty and staff, Imaging and deployment of college computers and laptops.Install and assist with the maintenance of network equipment, Support classroom technologies including software and hardware, and maintain accurate inventory and licensing.Install, maintain and diagnose server applications and services, Install and maintain phone systems and hardware.May assist with configuration of VLANs, patch panel management and various network tasks.Help oversee and train student assistants.Remain current with technology trends in education and business environments. Continue to self-develop using resources supplied and outlined by the college.Perform other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Detailed knowledge of current PC technology, including installation, repair, and network support.Knowledge of network cabling, basic knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, basic knowledge of Audio-Visual equipment and Active directory.Intermediate knowledge of Windows Desktop Operating systems.Skills to troubleshoot and diagnose hardware, software and user issues.Skills necessary to maintain Windows Servers including backups and routine maintenance.Skills necessary to assist users with the UCaaS system provided by the college.Ability to interface with vendors to solve difficult issues. Ability to communicate clearly among peers and with the user community.Ability to document all procedures and processes and keep current.Ability to follow up on uncompleted tasks.Minimum Qualifications & Education

HS diploma or GED required. Two-year degree in related field preferred.Minimum 12 months working in PC repair, network support, PC programming, PC software support.
