GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

In this challenging role, you will be supporting the EOHS-Envir/Occp/Health&Sfty department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following.

Reports to the Department Head of Environmental, Occupational, Health & Safety (EOHS) and will perform clerical and administrative functions for all program areas in the EOHS department. The selected candidate must have the ability to work with internal and external customers and exhibit a positive can-do attitude.

Responsible for the logistics of classroom scheduling, purchasing of supplies and equipment set-up for instructors. Coordinates needs with the instructors and program managers/coordinators. Purchases supplies using a P-card, conducts confidential background checks, inventories and orders materials based on program needs, maintains and closes our course files to meet state auditing standards, prints and mails out certificates, maintains departmental inventory and assists adjunct instructors in course preparation.

Handles class cancellation notifications, refunds and billing processes for public and contract classes. Assists in gathering required information needed for grants and scholarships. Serves on internal committees that impact college. Assists with set up and planning for advisory board meetings. Attends meetings when necessary.

Maintains files for budgetary, record retention and auditing purposes. Assists in the tracking of expenses, revenues, advertising, and course reports for department. Works with building coordinator to ensure classrooms are scheduled. Adds, cancels, revises courses in Student Manager system for student registration. Able to run reports that impact department from registration system.

Works alongside other divisional administrative support to provide coverage. All other job duties as assigned.

Individual will work in a traditional office setting. Some local travel and ability to work evenings may be required. (Individual will work on multiple campuses).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSA high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services or a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSAssociates Degree (or higher) with two + years of administrative experience and experience working with public. Strong clerical skills including intermediate to advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
