Overview:
Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Desktop Engineer on a 10 year contract providing User Facing and Data Center Services supporting an Intelligence Community customer. All the personnel on the team will work together to support innovative design, engineering, procurement, implementation, operations, sustainment and disposal of user facing and data center information technology (IT) services on multiple networks and security domains, at multiple locations worldwide, to support the IC mission.The right candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.Responsibilities:Provides frontline support for desktop systems, including troubleshooting hardware and software issuesManages user accounts, permissions, and access rightsInstalls, configures, and maintains desktop operating systems and applicationsResponds to and resolves user tickets in a timely and professional mannerPerforms regular system maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance and securityAssists with the implementation of new technologies and software deploymentsDocuments technical solutions and maintain knowledge base for common issuesCollaborates with other IT teams to resolve complex issues and improve overall service deliveryProvides basic network troubleshooting and supportConducts user training sessions on new software or hardware as needed
Qualifications:Clearance Required:
TS/SCI with eligibility to obtain CI PolyDegree and Years of Experience:
Associate's degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience5+ years of experience in desktop support or similar IT roleRequired Certifications:Security+ certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hireRequired Skills:Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office suiteFamiliarity with basic networking concepts and troubleshootingExcellent customer service skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical usersAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to provide occasional after-hours supportDesired Skills:Experience with remote desktop support toolsKnowledge of Active Directory and Group PolicyFamiliarity with IT service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow)Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, batch, etc.)Experience in a government or intelligence community environmentPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift and move equipment up to 40 pounds
