Below is the position title, a brief description of responsibilities, and the estimated start and end dates for an engagement. POSITION TITLE: Business Analyst Responsibilities: The Business Analyst will assist the Senior Project Manager on the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) project. The scope of the project is to develop the requirements and strategy to allow the Council to acquire and implement a comprehensive Council wide Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solution. The solution will provide a fully integrated technology platform able to support full asset lifecycle management and align with organizational policy and process improvements to drive a more consistent, efficient, effective and strategically focused asset management capacity for the Council. This will be done within the framework of the Business Process Systems Integration (BPSI) program and consider the linkages and interactions with the other systems and processes being developed by the program. Responsibilities: Meet regularly with project team members, vendors, and/or stakeholders to analyze, map and document current state of technology systems and business processes. Proven investigative and analytical skills - in order to access and yield finding from various sources of information bility to illicit, drive and facility Joint Application development (JAD) sessions bility to help drive and/or facility the development of strategic project activities, and artifacts such as: Unified Modeling Language (UML) Diagraming, Business Requirement Document (BRD), Functional Specifications Documentation (FSD), Use Case, Business Case, Feasibility Studies, Gap Analysis, etc., Must understand the Software development lifecycle (SDLC) and be able to work in a waterfall and/or Agile environment Must understand requirement traceability matrix and be able to create and maintain test cases Must be able to build consensus across groups on future state workflows and business processes. ssist with technology strategic roadmap planning ensuring alignment with business capabilities and technology needs. Identify and develop asset performance measures, key performance indicators, quality assurance metrics, and improvement measures across multi-functional teams. ssist in developing and providing operational and regulatory report capabilities (flow charts, statistical trend analysis, dashboard) relating to asset management. Perform functional requirement gathering activities for projects and initiatives, developing standardized use cases that can be utilized by implementation teams ensuring regulatory compliance. Must have data work and/or migration experience to include understanding of ROT (Redundant, Obsolete, and Trivial data) cleansing , Flat File data review, dataset identification and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) work Consult and coordinate with managers, supervisors, and other departments on business requirements and opportunities to improve asset management business practices.
