As a
Business Systems Analyst
for the
Bus Transportation Administration
department, you will have the opportunity to develop standard operating procedures and training materials. You will also assist with research, data analytics and system testing. What you would do in this job
Create standard operating procedures (SOP's) for HASTUS and iDash Create training materials and resources for HASTUS and iDash. Use research and analytics to conduct a project a project to support the business needs of the department. Assist with system testing and day-to-day operational tasks. Reply to internal customer emails in a prompt manner. Coordinate with other BSA's to divide tasks in a rapidly changing environment. What education and experience are required for this job (minimum qualifications)
Any of the following combinations of related work experience in business systems analysis, and completed education.
A Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, information systems or related field. Associate's degree in finance, economics, business administration, information systems or related field; and two (2) years related experience as a business systems analyst. High school diploma and four (4) years experience as a business systems analyst. What additional skills and experience would be helpful in this job (desired qualifications):
Experience in creating and modifying Python scripts. Experience using MS reporting tools, including but not limited to Excel and MS PowerBI. Modern SharePoint site administration experience. Cloud storage or content management experience. Online and/or hybrid meeting experience. Microsoft Office experience. Experience in a governmental or public-sector environment (Government Community Cloud). Advanced skill with Share Point administration, Microsoft Teams, Video Conferencing Technology, and hybrid meetings. Previous or current experience in a similar position. What Knowledge, Skills and Abilities you should have within the first six months on the job:
Knowledge of goals, operating procedures, work flow and regulations regarding departments functions. Knowledge of work flow analysis and simplification techniques. Intermediate computer skills in word processing, complex spreadsheets, graphics presentations and database management required (Word, Excel, Access and Power Point). Proficiency in the use of Crystal Reports or similar application preferred. Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of customers or clients. Ability to interpret and apply mathematics and statistical methods and procedures gained through professional educational training. Requires the skill to provide basic client services to the public and other agencies within the organization. Requires tact, courtesy and cooperation in dealings with others where the primary purpose is the exchange of information. Work Environment: Work is performed in a standard office setting; however, depending on the position's projects, the incumbent may be required to work outdoors and in all weather conditions. Some positions may require travel between primary work site and other sites.
