Network and System Administrator

Summary:Managing Windows and Mac systems. Upgrading, installing, and configuring application software andcomputer hardware. Troubleshooting and providing technical support to employees. Creating andmanaging system permissions and user accounts. Installing, configuring, and maintaining, expanding thenetwork infrastructure.Responsibilities:1. Install, configure, test, and maintain server, SAN, and related networking equipment.2. Perform all critical data backup and secure data according to established procedures.3. Maintain computer networks including VPNs and routers.4. Assist in network design and implementation.5. Provide network support with a variety of operating systems.6. Install and configure computer network equipment.7. Maintain network connectivity of all computer workstations.8. Provide network support to users.9. Maintain servers and associated hardware, applications, services, and settings.10. Develop and monitor policies for the use of network resources.11. Implement and manage disaster recovery and back-up.12. Evaluate and recommend security improvements and system upgrades.13. Monitor network to ensure optimal performance.14. Create and maintain network users/permissions.15. Test release of products to minimize user impact and ensure compatibility.16. Create technical support documentation for systems and applications.17. Configure and maintain Microsoft Active Directory18. Install, configure, and maintain Firewall, Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam, Anti-Malware for maximuminternal network protection.Qualifications:•Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 3-5years' experience.•Strong understanding of computer network infrastructure.•Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices.•Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.•Ability to create network diagrams and documentation for design and planning networkcommunication systems.•Ability to quickly learn technologies and products using documentation and internet resources.•Ability to work with all levels of IT staff inside and outside the organization.•Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.•Good analytical and problem-solving skills.•Dependable and flexible when necessary.•Experience with local area network and wide area network administrationApplication Process:Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
