Database System Manager
SummaryThe Database System Manager will assume overall responsibility for the management, administration, performance, reliability, integrity, and security of College's student and administrative information system including Jenzabar One. This individual will coordinate with support group and application managers to ensure business objectives are met.Responsibilities
Provide technology support to the various users by performing installation of client software or other software, maintain user accounts, troubleshooting and answering basic software and hardware questions.Customize reports and applications for users based on college priorities.Utilize Infomaker to design, develop, and maintain custom reports, enabling departments to access meaningful data insights.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs and provide data solutions using Infomaker.Perform data analysis, extraction, and integration to support institutional goals and decision-making.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within Jenzabar One and Infomaker, offering guidance and support to end-users.Train and support staff in the effective use of Jenzabar One and Infomaker, creating documentation and best practices.Regularly review and maintain data integrity, implementing data governance standards across the institution.Monitor system updates and improvements for Jenzabar One and Infomaker, ensuring compatibility and compliance with institutional standards.Provide support to other areas of Information Technology as needed and other duties as assigned.Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience is also acceptable.2+ years of experience working with Jenzabar One, including system configuration and maintenance.Proficiency in Infomaker for custom report creation, modification, and troubleshooting.Solid understanding of data management, data integrity, and reporting best practices.Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users.Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently.A strong working knowledge of both Windows-compatible computers as well as detailed, deep knowledge of database design and management using Microsoft SQL Server is preferred.Specific experience with Jenzabar One and Infomaker are major pluses.Advanced hardware and software troubleshooting skills are also essential.The candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to effectively interact with a diverse range of technical personal computer users.Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a higher education environment, particularly with student information systems and financial reporting.Knowledge of SQL and data integration processes.Familiarity with data visualization tools and advanced reporting methodologies.
