Service Support Tech 2

A Day in Your Life at MKS:As a Service Support Technician II at MKS Instruments, you will partner with service to evaluate, and repair RF Generators. In this role, you will report to the Service Supervisor. This is a 1st or 3rd shift position.You Will Make an Impact By:* Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures.* Determines most cost-effective repair/resolution to minimize customer downtime.* Troubleshoot RF generator boards to component level.* Use electronics equipment to test the RF generator to the manufacturing specifications.Skills that You Bring:* Associate's degree in electronics from a two-year college, military, or equivalent working experience.* 2 + years of experience* Ability to read and understand technical documents and procedures.* Ability to troubleshoot electronic equipment to component level.* Advanced skills in Microsoft Office.* Excellent attention to detail.Preferred Skills:* Oracle data entry.* Test stand use and understanding.* Excellent communication, organizational skills.* Understanding of 6S and Lean methodology.Physical Demands and Working Conditions:* Ability to lift, pull, and push 50 lbs.* Ability to work overtime when required.Globally, our policy is to recruit individuals from wide and diverse backgrounds.
