Our client is seeking a Data Validation & Technical Support Specialist to perform various technical duties involving the retrieval, processing, validation, and estimation of meter translation and load research data. This role requires collaboration with field and office teams to resolve metering or telecommunications issues and address data discrepancies. You'll work closely with the Special Billing team, supporting interval data for over 1.1 million customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Retrieve, process, and validate interval data from field translation devices, ensuring accuracy and reporting missing data.Perform data checks, edits, and estimations as necessary, preparing accurate reports, transactions, and graphs.Collaborate with field personnel to resolve data discrepancies and ensure accurate readings.Assist in training new employees and contribute to application testing, creating test cases and documentation as needed.Communicate effectively with upstream and downstream service providers, as well as internal teams, to resolve technical issues.Qualifications:
2+ years of relevant experience in data processing, validation, or technical support.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access) and Microsoft Outlook.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for ensuring data accuracy.Preferred experience with MV90 and MACSS (or similar Customer Information Systems).SQL knowledge preferred but not required.Strong communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.Occasional overtime or early schedules may be required.Education Requirements:
High School Diploma with 6+ years of IT systems support experience.Associate's Degree with 2+ years of IT systems support experience.Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, or a related field with no additional experience required.Additional Information:
This is a remote position; candidates must reside within the AEP footprint.Physical demand level: Sedentary.
