Collaborate with Business Analysts and Technical Writers to extract and document data-related knowledge from subject matter experts (SMEs).
Analyze data structures and flows within applications, utilizing advanced SQL skills to query databases, extract insights, and provide detailed documentation.
Map and document data structures, relationships, and dependencies at the application level, focusing on Hogan mainframe systems and other key applications.
Apply data management principles to ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation, following best practices for data governance and consistency.
Organize and structure the data documentation in a repository, ensuring it is easily accessible and searchable for future use.
Work with cross-functional teams to align data documentation with broader project goals, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Participate in knowledge-gathering sessions, leveraging SMEs to validate the data structures and supporting documentation.
Support ongoing updates and validation of documentation throughout the project lifecycle.Required
Proven experience (3+ years) as a Data Analyst or Systems Analyst, preferably in IT or financial services sectors.
Advanced SQL skills to query complex databases, analyze data structures, and support knowledge capture.
Knowledge of Data Management principles and best practices for documentation, data governance, and consistency.
Experience with mainframe systems, particularly Hogan systems, is a strong plus but not required.
Ability to collaborate in small teams with Business Analysts and Technical Writers to ensure comprehensive documentation of data systems.
strong communication skills, with the ability to explain data structures and technical details clearly to both technical and non-technical team members.
Familiarity with metadata creation and management.Desired
Experience working in large enterprises, particularly in the financial services or banking industry.
Experience with knowledge management or documentation projects, specifically focused on capturing and documenting data structures.
Knowledge of methodologies such as Define, Collect, Organize, and Validate/Iterate for knowledge management.qualifications:
