Position SummaryOne temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position available in Capital Planning and Design.Start DatePosition available on or after October 1, 2024 and ending on or before May 30, 2025. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.Job Description/DutiesDuties include but are not limited to:

Create, update, and maintain GIS database, utilizing Trimble GPS equipment and software to locate campus information.Some projects will require importing CAD data from existing campus files.Collect information by field survey to update campus maps, such as utilities, trees, floor plans and other campus features.Maintain and update the campus space allocation drawings.Other duties as assigned.

QualificationsPreferred Qualifications :

It is preferred, but not required, that the incumbent demonstrates current enrollment status at CSUS student (must be at Junior level or higher).It is preferred, but not required, that the incumbent is enrolled at CSUS as a Geography Major or MSIS - Geospatial Analysis.Demonstrates knowledge of GIS, GPS and Remote Sensing and experience using ArcGIS.Demonstrates familiarity of other campus mapping projects.Possesses excellent customer service skills, motivation, dependability, punctuality, and a positive attitude.Demonstrates the ability to work on projects with minimal supervision and/or with a team.Required Qualifications :

Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
