:JOB SUMMARYThe IT Application Analyst will play a vital role in designing and executing information technologies systems across all POET Companies. Primary responsibilities include evaluating and understanding existing systems, contributing to transformation projects through functional analysis, and then guiding implementations within the business. Our ideal candidate would be collaborative, resourceful, creative, and has a focus on positive business results.DURING A TYPICAL DAYManaging the set-up and configuration of software applications to meet business requirements while following best practices for scalability, supportability, ease of maintenance, and system performance.Staying up to date with the technical developments and functionality available as updates are released of the systems you manage.Troubleshooting escalated technical issues.Collaborating with the IT Business Analysts, Developers & Infrastructure team members to resolve complex issues and ensure solutions are viable and consistent with POETs framework.Creating and maintaining application and system roadmaps.Assisting with creating basic to moderately complex test plans using templates and guidelines.Identifying how future business process changes will impact the solution.Since were all about teamwork and getting the job done, your skill may be put to a lot of other uses!
:STRENGTHS OF A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATEAssociates or Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology or Science is required.Progressive analysis/systems experience in mid to large-scale computing environments is a plus.Experience with Workday or other HR Applications is a plus.A good understanding of client/server, web architectures and object-oriented technologies, and internet applications.Working knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies and Windows operating systems.You have strong communication skills in all aspects and have demonstrated the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.You are adaptable and open minded to flourish in an entrepreneurial environment.You are dedicated to honesty, confidentiality, and ethical behavior in all business matters and assignments.You have a keen sense for the voice of the customer and deliver distinctive value for them.You know the basics of Microsoft Office Suite.
