Overview:
Performs complicated technical functions and administrative work installing, evaluating, securing, and maintaining physical configuration of hardware, operating system, and software, for large-scale networks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform analysis of end user hardware, software and communication requirements, resulting in the recommendation of new or upgraded components or services; develop detailed plans for hardware and software configurations, network connections, installation schedules and training plans; directs or provides ongoing support to other support teams.Supports the use of SCCM and Intune systems to deploy changes when needed. Ensures both the applications and operating systems are patched to correct levels. Diagnose issues with deployments or installations. Improve enterprise processes to ensure environments are up-to-date and secure.Works with Cyber and Information security teams to remediate vulnerabilities on end-point devices. Works closely with application development /application support teams to ensure applications are compliant with ILSOS security standards.Establish working relationships with all other Support groups within DoIT as well as outside Vendor relationships as needed.Ensure all appropriate information is relayed to Property Control and Equipment Control Officer regarding installation, relocation, and/or removal of equipment.Participate in various project work groups.May be required to act independently in response to unplanned hardware or software failures.Performs other duties as required or assigned.Minimum Requirements:
Requires knowledge skill and mental development equivalent to the completion of two (2) years of college, with Computer Science coursework
and
two and one-half (2.5) years of technical systems and programming experience as would be gained as an Information Systems Technician.Requires the ability to lift, carry and push/pull up to 50 lbs.Requires a valid Illinois Driver's License.Application Process:
