job summary:Our West Michigan Client is growing and looking for a Data Engineer to join their team. This is a great opportunity to be involved in many areas of the team, learn new technologies and become the onsite SME. Ideal candidates will have experience with T-SQL, SQL Server, ETL, and have worked with ERP systems. This is an onsite role in Grand Rapids. Must be legally authorized in the US to work without sponsorship.

responsibilities:
Ensure Azure and on-premises Microsoft and Postgres databases are functioning, backed-up, and well maintained.
Work with the Network Administrator to provide connectivity and security.
Assist with any necessary data migrations and ETL that may be needed for implementations or system upgrades.
Install and administer software. BI and reporting tools such as SSRS, Phocas, Grow, and Power Query/BI come naturally to you.
Produce quality data schemas, maintaining 3rd normal form, and proper primary key, foreign key, constraints, and indexes.
Write complex T-SQL queries to efficiently produce data for reports, BI Tools, and applications.
Write scripts and backend code (e.g. PowerShell, PHP, C#, Node/Next.js) to convert queries into scheduled jobs and API endpoints.
Populate pre-built AI/ML models and services with B-Y data to produce valuable datasets for our applications and BI tools while considering data security and the risks of company data being exposed through these services.
Create and train AI models using the Python data science stack and Azure resources. Models that can re-train on new data to produce valuable datasets for our applications and BI tools.
Build and implement services and endpoints to make the data available for our applications and BI tools.qualifications:
