The Windstream team provides innovative software and network solutions to connect people and empower business in a world of infinite possibilities _________________________________________________________ About this Role: The Role of the GIS Technician are vital team members who represent our leading telecommunications brand and are committed to providing current and accurate GIS records in order to supply the data and information needed to provide products and services to homeowners, small business, enterprise and carrier partners across the United States. What You'll Do: + Accurately post and pre-post OSP work orders to the master GIS and /or design files. + Coordinate work order process with construction supervisors, OSP engineers and property accounting. + Log work orders into OSP/Job-Trac database. Distribute and file work order folders daily, as required. + Carry out drafting assignments of a routine to moderate nature, within the Windstream standards and practices framework. + Prepare layouts, drawings and designs according to engineering specifications using CAD/E and/or GIS software. + Review engineering drawings and supporting documentation to verify adherence to Windstream standard practices. + Analyze design prints and confer with other departments to resolve details when not completely defined. + Display, modify, and correct existing GIS data using CAD/E software. + Display final drawings to verify completeness, clarity and accuracy.
