Performs routine installation and maintenance of personal computer and related equipment within the department; provides technology support to the IT HelpDesk and end-users in troubleshooting hardware and software problems; performs routine repairs and coordinates repair service with necessary outside entities; completes documentation as appropriate. Deploys new personal computers, printers, and other hardware based on lease expirations or lifecycle timescales; rolls out software updates using large scale and widely deployed packages such as ArcGIS and MS Office; coordinates security updates and security software on personal computers. Ensures the security of systems by limiting access to appropriate personnel.
