Job DescriptionBusiness Analyst Location: 5000 Kansas Avenue Kansas City, KS 66106Department: Business Analytics SummaryAs a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into meaningful insights that drive strategic business decisions. Leveraging your expertise in Power BI, Business Intelligence, and data analysis, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their business needs, design intuitive dashboards/ reports, and provide actionable recommendations. Your passion for data visualization and problem-solving will be instrumental in shaping the future of our analytics solutions.Responsibilities This role requires a candidate who can identify, evaluate, and execute quality improvements, service enhancements, cost reductions, and productivity increases for the organization. This role requires a candidate with a team centric vision, the candidate should have the ability to help our internal customers define their business requirements, but also be able to support the team with solving complex Ad hoc initiatives using data driven tools. As a functional/technical Business Analyst it's a requirement that the candidate be able to work with our I.T partners this includes, Project Managers, Technical Leads, Data Analysts, Developers, etc. To drive effective business solutions. This role requires a candidate who is okay with public speaking as they will be required to facilitate white board sessions, requirement gathering sessions, online/offline meetings, and design sessions with users. The candidate will be required to be able to communicate requirements gathered from internal stake holders to fellow Business Analysts & our I.T / Data Analytics partners for the design and implementation of solutions and insights.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on Power BI and data visualization. Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, including data modeling, DAX, and report/dashboard development preferred. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools preferred. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge: Proficient in the following preferred: All MS Office programs, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access Microsoft Power BI or MicroStrategy development or other comparable system/application Business Objects, ADW, Alteryx, SQL Utilizing syndicated retail market data; Nielsen, Circana, Numerator, other relevant data Unify+Abilities:This role requires a self-starter, with sound statistical, analytical and process skills with a strong attention to detail. A strong candidate will have the ability to organize projects, set priorities and multi-task, with an emphasis on handling multiple high-level priorities effectively and with a sense of urgency. Must be comfortable working with all levels of management and staff. This role requires an individual who is resilient and adaptable and can handle ambiguity and multiple initiatives simultaneously.Experience, Education, and Training College degree / or equivalent industry work related experience preferred. Retail / Wholesale distribution experience preferred but not required. SQL Certification preferred but not required.Physical Requirements Must be able to sit for long periods of time.Working Environment Ability to work in Kansas City as needed. This role offers a hybrid work environment must be able to work remotely and or travel to Kansas City as need be. Must also be open to working & training onsite when going through on-boarding.
