Administrative Assistant

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading non-profit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

As an Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support for Camp Seymour to ensure that Camp goers, visitors and employees feel welcomed both in person and over the phone. If hired for this position, you will perform miscellaneous administrative duties such as data entry, database maintenance, correspondence, filing, both electronic and paper, and other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide administrative assistance including but not limited to the distribution, processing and maintenance of paperwork, records, reports, memos, and correspondence.Maintain physical and/or electronic filing systems for all relevant information.Receive and direct communications with staff or members through incoming mail, email, telephone calls, or in person. Respond to inquiries or refer as appropriate.Assist with special projects and events as assigned.Convey information on your programs and schedules and as appropriate refers members and participants to other programs.Establishes goals, clarifies tasks, plans work and actively participates in meetings.Supports fundraising.Follows budgeting policies and procedures, and reports all financial irregularities immediately.Qualifications:

Demonstrated skills in customer service, public relations, organizational skills, communications, supervision, computer knowledge, and file maintenance.Demonstrated professionalism in both attitude and appearance.Knowledge of YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties' Procedures and Policies.The ability to demonstrate a friendly, courteous and professional manner while working with members, parents and staff and the ability to understand, articulate, and enforce YMCA policies and procedures in a positive way.Complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day. And complete other online and in-person training as required.Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act).Wage:

$17.74 to $19.74 per hour, depending on qualifications

Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
