About the Job:
The Applications Systems Analyst/Programmer - works in an agency IT division, performing application systems analysis and programming duties.
Daily Responsibilities:Confer with department management for planning and organizing activities.Collaborate with the user community for research and analysis to define system requirements.Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations.Prepare project feasibility studies, formulate system scope, project cost, time estimates, and human resource requirements.Assist, direct, train, and coordinate the work of less experienced developers.Function as Team and/or Project lead.Provide documentation for new or modified information systems and/or application software programs.Prepare specifications, conduct system test planning, design, code, and debug new or modified application software programs.Monitor application software systems for proper execution and performance.Tech Skills
Extensive knowledge of information systems design principles and new systems design techniques.Extensive knowledge of application development policies, standards, procedures, and techniques.Extensive knowledge of application development software tools and languages.Extensive knowledge of information technology equipment, operation, and capabilities.Ability to manage multiple application development software projects and priorities.Skills Required
