JOB SUMMARY: Kemper Scholars Internship ProgramKemper Scholars internships will enable you to broaden your understanding of the business, make valuable connections, and set a course for your professional journey with us. You will work on special projects that positively impact our business and our customers. Kemper is looking for students who love to problem solve and are willing to make real-life impact on projects that may involve the senior executives to front-line associates. We deliver meaningful experiences in various internship areas like Product Development, Claims, Operations, Finance, IT, Data Analytics, and much more. This is a 10-week paid internship offering challenging projects that support Kemper's strategic priorities.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Kemper interns will be exposed to the following concepts and experiences: Performs audits on specified department tasks for accuracy and to assure all guidelines, policies & procedures were followed within the individual's knowledge base. Create, revise, and approve quality-related documents.Provides feedback to the training team when additional training opportunities are identified.Works with the training team to update the department guidelines & procedures.Meets monthly with management staff.Investigates inefficiencies and participates in discussions for improvement.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (MUST HAVE):Junior or Senior status enrolled at University of Texas Rio Grande ValleyQualifying majors in an academic area related to financial services or insurance industry, such as, finance, data analytics, communications, accounting, or business administration.Non-business majors are welcome if strong interest in financial services and/or insurance industry. A minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 GPA scale.This position is a hybrid role and may require work in the office 2-3 days a week.This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.Kemper is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
