Position Summary:
Our Product and Analytics Management University (PMU) can help develop you into a highly skilled and well-rounded professional ready to drive innovation and success in the Kemper Auto Product Management, Data Science and Pricing teams. PMU offers an opportunity to combine knowledge of our business, technical skills, and professional skills to move toward a Product and Analytics related career at Kemper.
This immersive 24-month program includes comprehensive on the job projects, training and shadowing as well as experiential learning and professional development enabling continuous learning throughout the program. While learning the business, you will take on actual roles within Kemper in which you will have a stake in driving profit and growth for various lines of business.
Data Science is a driver of significant competitive advantage for Kemper and is critical to the organization's success. An Associate Data Scientist in the PMU program will be responsible for learning to develop analytical solutions to support the organization on various projects.
Position Responsibilities:
Actively engages and participates in all PMU learning activities including classroom and experiential learning.Follows the Data Science curriculum and completes assignments applying skills and theoretical knowledge to real world business problems.Performs tasks to support the development of analytical solutions designed to support the organization.Assists in developing and automating processes that can be deployed through the organization to solve reoccurring analytics needs.Communicates work progress and challenges, analytical insights, and results to the working team.Develops database, technical and business knowledge that is needed to support the analytical analysis.Represents the PMU by embracing cultural values that are reflective of the program and of Kemper.Position Qualifications:
Graduate degree in Mathematics, Engineering, or other STEM fieldsPhD in Mathematics, Engineering, or other STEM fields preferred.0-2 years' experience in a data science environment.Previous internship experience preferredThe anticipated start date of the program is June 2025.
