Desktop Support Specialist

The Desktop Support Specialist should be able to solve problems independently, handle changing requirements with ease, and remain calm under fire regardless of the situation. You must be able to work well with others, be a team player and possess excellent customer service skills. You must have a strong desire to learn new skills, and can express technical concepts effectively both verbally and in writing.
Responsibilities :
Manage all desktop, laptop and other related hardware and software support activities in a corporate environment
Maintain daily tickets and reports to ensure the highest service levels are maintained
Troubleshoot, resolve and fix network connectivity issues related to workstations
Restore system to functioning state and gain customer concurrence for problem resolution
Plan and manage the installation, upgrade, repair and replacement of desktop PCs, laptops and peripherals
Provide technical assistance and training to users
Setup and test video conferencing equipment for all meetings and functions
Perform basic troubleshooting and service to office printers, both local and networked
Provide technical assistance to our remote offices and users
Minimum Qualifications :
Two or more years set up, configuration, troubleshooting of desktop/notebook hardware and software (Windows and Mac OS)
Strong interpersonal communication, learning and analytical skills
Working knowledge of common protocols such as TCP/IP networking and related network services (i.e. DNS, SMTP, DHCP, etc.)
Windows 7 PS and latest version experience
Windows 2003 and latest server experience
Preferred Qualifications :
Windows 2012 and Exchange 2013 Experience
Experience with VPN/Cisco configurations
VMware and Citrix experience
Some knowledge of SharePoint, MS Lync and MS SQL experience
Understanding of components within LAN/WAN networks to include network connectivity and remote access technology
Some knowledge of Active Directory concepts and administration, including GPO
ADA Requirements :
Must be able to stand, walk, sit, speak, hear and see,
Must be able to lift and pull 50lbs
