CNC ProgrammerLansing, MIThe candidate in this role will utilize various 3D modeling, surfacing techniques and 2D data to modify and extract data from existing geometry in order to produce CNC toolpaths for multi-axis milling machines and lathes.Additionally, the individual will provide manufacturing personnel with program routing, setup, and sequence information.Key Responsibilities:Write, develop, validate, and debug CNC programs and provide supporting documentation for 3, 4 and 5 axis milling machines, vertical turning lathes, and horizontal lathes.Create CNC program routing, setup, and sequence information to assist shop floor personnel.Provides instruction sheets and cutter lists to guide setup and operation of machines.Perform toolpath verification prior to program deployment.Analyze 3D files, 2D Drawings, and specifications to determine programming requirements.Determine the best tooling and machining strategies for each part.Basic Qualifications:Minimum of 10 years of CNC / CAM Programming experienceAssociates Degree requiredAble to read and interpret Blueprints, Military, DOD and Aerospace Standards / RequirementsKnowledge of GD&T, G&M Codes, Cutting Tools, Geometry, Speeds and FeedsAble to set up all families of product on CNC mills and lathes.Ability to edit CNC programs to troubleshoot inconsistencies.CAM Software Experience (MasterCam, Siemens NX Cam or similar)Knowledge of fixture and jig practices.Knowledge of machining techniques, cutting tools, and toolpath optimization.Proficiency with Microsoft O365 suite.Good communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Aerospace Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) experienceExperience with FAA Repair StationsCAD Software Experience (Siemens NX preferred)Siemens NX CAM Software ExperienceExperience with Haas, Kuraki and Bullard equipment
