Job Description
The Senior IT Database & Application Administrator is a key position in the University Central IT Department. This role is responsible for the management, maintenance, security controls, and architecture of university databases and supporting applications. They troubleshoot and optimize database performance issues and supported application configurations, as well as manage and support data structure, reports, exports, imports, and database accessibility. They also act as a primary technical lead on the Oracle database and OCI Infrastructure as well as the Virtualized hosting platform while collaborating with vendors and other departments. This position works with a team of programmers and database administrators to implement and maintain multi-tier applications and their underlying databases. This position will be critical in upgrading, monitoring, fixing, configuring and backing up database systems. The position is expected to evolve with technology changes and shifts in data management paradigms. The data systems it will manage may be located on site, in one or more cloud locations, or in a combination of on-site and cloud locations. It may be expected to work with structured and unstructured data, depending on the needs of the supported clientele. This role is pivotal in assisting the IT Enterprise Applications Integrations & Support department to achieve University goals and initiatives with their high-level skill set and experience.
Salary Range$60,441 - $78,574; Salary may be increased based off education, experience, and internal equity.
