Mid-Level Linux System Administrator

to support our

Huntsville, AL

location.PeopleTec seeking a motivated Mid-Level Linux System Administrator that can work with a team to monitor, update, and support a Hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) THAAD simulation lab. Seeking a candidate with a strong background in networking, security, and Linux. Knowledge with a configuration management focus is a plus. Candidates will perform firmware updates, software updates, network configurations, and standing up new systems. Candidates will be required to travel for a portion of each year during Flight tests and other travel activities. This lab supports an independent test platform for the THAAD weapons system.The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills both oral and written; exhibit the ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, customer focused work environment.Duties Include:Installation, configuration, and maintenance of system hardware and software on multiple Linux platforms.Provide support for systems and users during MDA test eventsComplete cybersecurity scans for the lab systemsProvide troubleshooting support for hardware and softwareManage user accounts on classified systems using multi-factor authentication.Performing system backups and restoresAs required, develop Plans of Action & Mitigation (POA&M) to document deviations from approved DISA STIG requirementsAbility to step through automating Operating System builds (Ansible)Qualifications:Required Skills/Experience:5+ years related Linux systems administration experience. Large classified lab networking and hardware knowledge

Linux+ and Security+ certifications

Strong Cybersecurity knowledge

THAAD Weapon System experience

Travel: 25 %Must be a U.S. CitizenAn active DoD

Secret

clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active
