The Pharmacy Clinical Analyst position reports directly to the Pharmacy Analyst Supervisor. The primary goal of the Pharmacy Clinical Analyst II is to provide support for the Pharmacy Department, which is responsible for medication therapy management and other medical management functions throughout the organization. Responsibilities include implementation, integration, configuration and support of all pharmacy applications. As well as assist operations in optimization and improvement opportunities for the pharmacy department and clinical operations. Works collaboratively with all departments, and functions independently in defining, troubleshooting, and solving software and system analysis assignments using established system analysis techniques. Demonstrates advanced ability, integrity, and innovation in applying systems analysis techniques, knowledge, and experience to the needs of the organization.System Specific Duties and Responsibilities:Pharmacy system analysis, design, and implementation Installation and support of all pharmacy applicationsWork with users at various level of the organization to determine operational needs Perform continual assessments of pharmacy application enhancements and requirements to facilitate continued improvements in software capability as required to meet the goals prioritized by the organizationProvide continual consulting support for existing pharmacy applicationsImplement new pharmacy applications/systems as required by organizationConduct research to determine the industry best practices to help solve complex problems within the pharmacy applicationsProvide continual consulting support for existing pharmacy applicationsAssure existing pharmacy systems are processing effectively and accurately according to requirements Provide analysis and reports to stakeholders as requiredPerform testing of applications prior to implementation Work on assignments as assigned by the pharmacy application supervisor or other related projectsProvide project management staff and management with status reports regarding assigned projects tasksAssist with project documentation preparation, as necessaryWork in coordination with others to analyze, develop and implement clinical systemsAssist with all pharmacy interface requirements identification to support Test pharmacy interfaces between applications On Call support which may include scheduled 24/7 supportEducation:Bachelor's degree or related years of experienceExperience3+ Years of clinical pharmacy or clinical application experienceThe kind of position-related experience includes:Answers support calls in a respectful manner and logs tickets timely to help track and audit customer issuesProvides immediate troubleshooting assistance when necessary to ensure continued efficient operation of the systemsDemonstrates patience when working with customers for supportWorks independently under general direction of supervisorAttends meetings as requested to help learn and support customer needsCommunicate in a clear and concise manner to aid in customer understanding of system functionalityCreate or log an enhancement for creation of specialized queries at the request of nurse managerUse positive language to create positive perceptions about company, software and serviceMaintain a positive persona even when dealing with frustrated customers in no win situationsMaintain good time management for processes and projects and be transparentDocument issue resolution well and communicate to peers for improved supportDon't accept the "status quo" as a customer solution, but strive for service excellence in process and practiceStrong communication skills; ability to produce clear and complete system documentationGood interpersonal skills and ability to foster teamwork with the customer and across mixed teams of technical and operational participants.Strong understanding of functional area they represent.
