Document Controllers are responsible for the management and distribution of important project documents such as technical reports, drawings, and specifications. They ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards while maintaining accurate records. They work closely with project teams to ensure documents are properly controlled and distributed.
Responsibilities:Manage and maintain all project-related documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.Ensure all documents are accurately recorded, distributed, and filed in the appropriate locationsEstablish and maintain effective communication with project team members to ensure timely and accurate document controlAssist in the development and implementation of document control procedures and processesMonitor and track project deliverables and milestones, ensuring all documents are reviewed and approved in a timely mannerPrepare and distribute reports on document control activities and statusOrganize and maintain the document control system, ensuring easy access and retrieval of all project-related documentsProvide training and support to project team members on document control processes and proceduresRequirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a document controller in the oil and gas industry.- Proficient in using document management software such as SharePoint, Documentum, or ProArc.- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate and timely document control.- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with project managers and other stakeholders.- Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects simultaneously.- Understanding of engineering and technical terminology to facilitate document review and approval processes.- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving document control issues and proposing process improvements.
