Job Summary:

Our company is searching for an experienced Engineer with a focus on electrical and firmware engineering to join our expanding team. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and supporting high-security electronic lock systems, which includes both new product lines and enhancing existing solutions. This position offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment where the candidate will manage multiple projects, demonstrating high levels of responsibility and ownership.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

•Product Development: Design, develop, and test electronic lock systems, integrating electronic and mechanical hardware, firmware, and software solutions.

•Firmware Development: Code, test, and document new firmware applications or enhancements to existing firmware.

•Hardware Design: Create PCB schematics and layouts for new products, prototypes, and test fixtures.

•Competitive Analysis: Conduct market analysis on competitive products in residential, commercial, and government sectors.

•Documentation: Create, collect and manage documentation to be used for product maintenance and support, including test data and documentation for agency certification.

•Leadership: Lead cross-functional delivery teams and development partners to provide technical support and drive project deliverables.

•Continuous Improvement: Partner with Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain to drive product and process enhancements.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

•Demonstrated leadership skills.

•Track record of successful project delivery.

•Knowledge of C, C++, Java, C#, .NET, Python, embedded programming.

•Experience in the grounds up development of embedded electronics and support components.

•Experience in code management tools such as SVN, GIT, and Perforce.

•Skilled in PCB schematic and layout design.

•Strong knowledge of test and measurement equipment including oscilloscopes, multi-meters, data acquisition and EMC test equipment.

•Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

•Ability to think creatively and seek innovative solutions to complex technical/business problems.

•Ability to plan, organize and prioritize effectively.

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•Exceptional interpersonal/team skills.

Education / Experience:

•Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.

•Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a world class manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements:

•Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

•Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.

•Must be able to navigate various departments of the organization's physical premises.
