JOB TITLE: Senior Project Manager JOB LOCATION: Springfield, MA (Hybrid 3x per week) WAGE RANGE: $70-73/hr. W2 JOB NUMBER: 33919206 REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: PMP certification or similar; Fluent with PMBOK methodology required Agile methodologies required, CSM preferred but not required Strong Project Management tool background – MS Office Project, Excel, Word, Outlook required 3-5 years of experience in financial services/insurance industry required 4 years IT experience managing large sized IT program or portfolio, 4 including experience with integrations required 2 years vendor management and contract negotiations (SOW/Invoice) required Strong financial acumen experience managing program/portfolio budget JOB DESCRIPTION Lead cross functional project teams and collaborate with various workstreams to manage project timelines, milestones, dependencies and be able to communicate and mitigate any foreseeable risks, issues. Leads the Technical project team, assesses people and budget requirements, and works with the project sponsor to ensure alignment with the overall business strategy Collaborate and lead project delivery through strong Stakeholder and vendor relationship management Ensures compliance with the SDLC methodology for tasks, documentation, modifications, conversions and implementation. Ensuring tools/documentation are consistent and consistently leveraged across all projects. Defining and managing detailed project plans in MS Project Develop, monitor, and report on all project/program tasks and deliverables; actively manage the resource plan; and tightly manage the project budget, approved funding, forecasts and actuals. Ongoing and targeted documentation and communication to various audiences to drive awareness and engagement Be accountable to business sponsors and management to drive delivery of quality solutions tied to clearly understood business problems and benefits. This includes holding yourself and the project team accountable for delivering objectives on time and with quality, with an eye on scope and budget Responsible for the overall project plan, schedule, and budget, as well as project status monitoring and reporting Manages and mitigates project risks and issues and escalation of same when necessary. Lead team through issue resolution as quickly as possible, avoiding impact to schedule. Manage conflict and prioritization so to prevent any delay to the schedule Leading the timely delivery of platform enhancements and/or complex initiatives Partnering with internal and external subject matter experts and other resources (business, technical, compliance, communications, vendor, etc.) to define and execute plans for each delivery Accountability to key stakeholders to provide status on progress. Gain recognition as a trusted advisor and leader with our customers and stakeholders at all levels of the organization across business and IT. This can include providing input into and/or influence business strategies and direction that determine and shape projects Implement strategies that deliver project(s) on time and within budget Remove barriers to enable project team to complete objectives no matter how difficult. Drive and influence decisions while also assessing risk and impact. Effectively negotiate priorities and solutions Skills: Work independently and with management on highly visible, complex projects with multi-platform deliveries.
