A client of Insight Global is seeking a Security Analyst. The Security analyst will help assist the client with the transition from a small to a medium-sized ISP, we face an ever-increasing array of cyber-security threats. We are seeking a proactive and vigilant Security Analyst to monitor security tools for alarms and investigate possible incidents while following incident response procedures. This role is vital for safeguarding our network and infrastructure, advancing security protocols, and facilitating their adoption across the company.Responsibilities:Monitor security alerts and events to identify potential security incidents or threats.

Conduct in-depth analysis of security logs, network traffic, and system behavior to detect and respond to security incidents.

Investigate security breaches, IOCs, incidents, and vulnerabilities; perform incident response, root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls, configurations, and policies.

Participate in security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing activities.

Assist in the development and implementation of incident response plans and procedures.

Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies; research and recommend security enhancements and best practices.

Document security incidents, findings, and remediation actions; prepare reports for management and stakeholders.

Provide support and guidance to IT teams and end users on security-related matters.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, incident detection, and response.

5+ years of experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and vulnerability scanners.

Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles.

Experience with security incident handling, analysis, and forensics.

Knowledge of security standards and frameworks (e. g., NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, PCI DSS).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets.

Ability to communicate to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Relevant certifications (e. g., Security+, SSCP, OSCP, GIAC) are a plus
