What you will be doing:
As an IT Field Support Specialist, you willprovide Tier 2 and 3 on-site and remote support for computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment. You will conduct site surveys, assess and document current site configuration and user requirements, analyze existing requirements and prepare specifications for hardware acquisitions, develop hardware installation schedules, prepare drawings documenting configuration changes at each site, and prepare site installation and test reports.
Requirements:Skilled in installing, repairing and troubleshooting computer hardware and peripherals. Well-versed in installing Windows, software, applications, antivirus and patchesTroubleshoot, repair, and test computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipmentDemonstrated ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematicsExperience with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)Support network upgrade projects or initiativesSupport end-user connectivity needsAble to manage time and priorities effectivelyAble to work efficiently with minimal supervisionProficient in working with end-users remotelyDemonstrated expertise in Microsoft Windows 7 and 10Familiar with Active Directory security and policiesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsMaintain government and vendor-manufactured fiber optic modems, multiplexer, fiber optic/Ethernet cables & telephone systemsOutstanding communication skills to relate with team members and support workersMust be able to lift 50 lbs.Must be able to drive company vehicle.Must be available to work some 8-hour shift between the hours of 6am-6pm, as determined by management.Certifications Required:
Security+
Education:
High school/GED and a minimum of five (5) years of experience
Clearance Required :
Must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance to be considered for this role.
