System Analyst I - Interface Analyst

Overview:
Fast-paced Information Technology (IT) environment often requiring rapid turn-around for project completion.Norman Regional Health Systems (NRHS) Health Information Technology (HIT) department focuses on quality patient care, stable IT platforms and infrastructure, and security of our IT systems. HIT supports both clinical/financial systems and the technical architecture of NRHS by engaging Systems Analysts and Technical support teams, functioning together to produce a secure, reliable, and interoperable IT infrastructure, in support the mission and vision of NRHS.Responsibilities:Hybrid work environment.This is an entry-level position in HIT. System Analyst reports to the Director of Applications Support in Health Information Technology (HIT) and takes direction from the System Analyst Team Lead. This position primarily focuses interface development as well as providing system support and maintenance for clinical and financial systems used throughout Norman Regional Health System. The candidate is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, maintenance, and evolution of systems software and related infrastructure. Assist project teams, and assist with the definition of needs, benefits, and technical strategy; research & development within the project life cycle; technical analysis and design; and support of operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out the solutions. The individual in this position considered a subject matter expert in at least one major software application. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:The responsibilities of an interface analyst include implementation, on-going support and troubleshooting interface issues. This includes managing application development, integrating software, creating testing procedures, providing technical support to staff, and recommend strategies to optimize business operations.Must possess excellent written and oral communication skillsCan work independently and in a team settingWorks closely with other HIT Analysts and Technical resources for implementations, upgrades, and day-to-day support needs related to clinical systemsKnowledge of inbound and outbound interfaces (HL7 knowledge a plus)Provides day-to day support of EMR processesAbility to learn and support new clinical applicationsMaintains accurate and up-to-date documentationKnowledge of clinical processes, and various clinical systemsWorks as a liaison between HIT and other departmentsCollaborates with department leads regarding new system/product implementationsResponds to incidents requiring diagnosis of trouble ticketsOn-call as needed in support HIT clinical/financial systems
