Fast-paced Information Technology (IT) environment often requiring rapid turn-around for project completion.
Norman Regional Health System's (NRHS) Health Information Technology (HIT) department focuses on quality patient care, stable IT platforms and infrastructure, and security of our IT systems. HIT supports both clinical/financial systems and the technical architecture of NRHS by engaging Systems Analysts and Technical support teams, functioning together to produce a secure, reliable, and interoperable IT infrastructure, in support the mission and vision of NRHS.
Job Summary
Job SummaryPromotes the effective use of HIT supported systems at Norman Regional Health System (NRHS).Assists with analyzing, testing and implementation of clinical system changes.Assures duties assigned are completed in a timely manner.Provide input into the information systems budget any activities and recommends information system project improved operations of the organization.Participates in 24/7 support and maintenance of clinical information systems.Qualifications
Education
Associates or Bachelor's degree in a clinical discipline, Education or Information Technology preferred. May substitute sufficient on the job experience for some of the education.
Experience
Five years clinical experience. Two years of clinical application support and demonstrated training experience preferred. Experience working with physicians and other clinical practitioners preferred.
Licensure/Certification
Licensure/Certification/Registration as appropriate to healthcare provider field preferred. Must have a valid driving license, and reliable personal transportation.
Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Possess strong verbal communication and public speaking skills. Possess the ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders, fellow trainers and leadership. Demonstrate the ability to think critically, identify and resolve problems, and communicate effectively with a wide variety of end users, with varying levels of skill. Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
Qualifications
The responsibilities of the Analyst include implementation, on-going support and troubleshooting of system issues. This includes managing application development, integrating software, creating testing procedures, providing technical support to staff, and recommend strategies to optimize business operations.
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skillsCan work independently and in a team settingWorks closely with other HIT Analysts and Technical resources for implementations, upgrades, and day-to-day support needs related to clinical systemsKnowledge of inbound and outbound interfaces (HL7 knowledge a plus)Provides day-to day support of EMR processesAbility to learn and support new clinical applicationsMaintains accurate and up-to-date documentationKnowledge of clinical processes, and various clinical systemsWorks as a liaison between HIT and other departmentsCollaborates with department leads regarding new system/product implementationsResponds to incidents requiring diagnosis of trouble ticketsOn-call as needed in support HIT clinical/financial systems
