CareConnect is aHartford HealthCare (HHC) program focused on the implementation of the Epicelectronic health record across the organization. This team implements both theclinical medical record as well as practice management software which includesscheduling and billing. Preference will be given to individuals with prior Epicexperience both on the IT or operation sides.

Position Summary:

Analysts for CareConnect works to design, configure & test applicationfunctions for Community Connect clients. Their primary responsibility is tobuild templates, smartsets, smart phrases and the like and analyze workflows tosupport customers. This analyst will follow internal CareConnect build, changecontrol and issue management policies and procedures. Analysts performsworkflow analysis, and design sessions with Subject Matter Experts. They arefamiliar with policies, procedures and constraints of clinical operations andthe potential impact on the clinical build of Hartford HealthCare. Theycomplete in depth and precise documentation of operational specifications andapplication functionality. Analysts will also troubleshoot problems and respondto questions from end-users during training, go-live and post go-live periods.Attention to detail is a critical skill for this position. Successfulcandidates enjoy helping others learn and adopt usage of the application.PositionResponsibilities:Facilitates the design, development, systemconfiguration, implementation, and support of information systems for theorganization.Understands the operational issues within theirapplication area well enough to represent their users needs.Planning, development, training, implementation, andevaluation of application functionality.Working with the team and key customers to ensureappropriate development, training, and implementation of applicationfunctionality.Collaborates and consults with application director,project manager, and other team leaders to coordinate activities.Assists in the development and documentation ofinternal policies and procedures that will be used in conjunction with theapplication.Builds effective relationships with clinical andbusiness partners through all the phases of the projects to supportcompleting project's goalsContributes in the preparation and execution of testingscripts and materials and performs unit, system, and integrated testingtasks.Documents and maintains all required system design andbuild documents and configures system accordingly.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelors degree or equivalentknowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education,training, and experience in a Healthcare environment required.Four years experience in clinical applicationsexperience required.Experience in clinical information system management inan acute or ambulatory care setting preferred.Epic Ambulatory certification preferred.Must be willing to attend required Epic training at theEpic training center.The Community Connect Analystwill exhibit the following qualities:Proven ability to successfully work in a matrix teamenvironment that presents significant change and tight timeframesConducts themselves according to Hartford Healthcarevalues: Caring, Excellence, Safety and IntegrityAre well-respected within the organization andmaintains a positive attitudeApproach problems constructively by focusing on how tomove the project forward, explores and analyzes alternatives.Proponent for change and demonstrates a continuous improvementmindset , ingenuity and innovative thinking and organizational skillsStrong communication and organizational skills withability to influence others within their sub-team in addition to thebroader program team, while maintaining a strong focus on achievingresults.The Community ConnectAnalyst will exhibit the following organizational competencies:Attends all mandatory education and training programs(including department specific) and can describe his/her responsibilitiesrelated to general safety and regulatory compliance as well as departmentsafety and specific job-related hazards.Attire is professional, neat, clean, and appropriatefor the work environment, according to the HHC and/or DepartmentAppearance Policy and a high standard of personal cleanliness ismaintained.Reports to work on time and meets acceptable standardfor attendance, based upon the department attendance policy.Communicates messages clearly and concisely.Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise discretionand sound judgment.Must be willing to learn new technologies andtechniques.Must be willing and able to come to work in adverseweather conditions.Travel to locations within Connecticut and surroundingStates will be required.
