Our mission is to save business owners time and money by automating their accounting system so they can profit more with less work.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role located in Long Island City, Queens, NY we are looking for a Tax Admin Wizard with experience working with a tax and accounting office to help us with our firm's administrative responsibilities. Our ideal candidate has the heart of a teacher and is open to learning different parts of the business. The position has the potential for growth. The Tax Admin Wizard will provide support to the team and perform clerical tasks, such as answering phone calls, managing schedules, and conducting data entry. The Tax Admin Wizard will also assist with customer service and ensure the smooth running of daily operations.Key ResponsibilitiesManage phone calls and daily correspondence (email, mail, letters, etc.)Schedule appointments for Senior AccountantMaintain and file accounting records and other related documentsManage payroll processing for clients using Gusto and ADPAssist with Business and Individual Tax PreparationSend client documents to be signed and ensure they are filed in the client's folderAssist our clients and staff with the onboarding processAppropriately communicates difficult situations encountered on engagements to supervisor.Performs thorough self-review of all work before submission to supervisorProactively demonstrates a willingness to learn and attain remarkable knowledge continually; looks to build a technical skill baseGrasps concepts quickly and demonstrates knowledge of essential technical skills, as well as related knowledge of necessary systems and proceduresMakes well-thought-out decisions and considers all facts before making conclusionsAsks appropriate questions and requests supervision when in need of assistanceResponds timely and accurately to internal team and client requestsQualifications2+ years in relevant administrative position (Tax office experience is preferred but not required)Excellent Phone Etiquette and Communication skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectivelyAttention to detail and High level of accuracyProficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with office equipment such as printers and copiersAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.RequirementsStrong experience with Calendly, Zoom, Zapier, CRM, Tax Dome, Tax SoftwareIntermediate to Advanced level in ExcelSuperior organization skills and dedication to completing projects under deadline.Detail-oriented and comfortable working independently & with a teamFluent in English and Spanish
