position.

Hocking Hills Lodge and Conference Center is a new 81-room lodge with 40 cabins, a full-service restaurant/lounge, and banquet facilities to accommodate up to 200 guests. Perform support services for the sales and catering office by greeting customers, providing prompt and courteous service, receiving, and qualifying inquiry calls, and greeting them with a selling style, while providing information as the caller requests. Perform as the support liaison for the Director of Sales and Catering Sales Manager. Overseeing requests of internal (hotel team of staff members) and external customers (current and potential guests of the hotel) ensuring the hotel's high standards of quality. Represent and follow through with Regency Hotel Management's standards by providing exceptional hospitality and service in an organized manner.Essential Functions :

Assists the Director of Sales and Catering Sales Manager with administrative tasks allowing them to proactively sell to maximize their sales productivity which includes maintaining filing systems, computer operations, photocopying, faxing, completing guest group and company contracts, and complete monthly reports and annual reports.Support the Director of Sales with a variety of administrative and support tasks in relation to catering functions and monitoring group guestroom blocks.Assist with planning and organizing upcoming requests for proposals and promotions following a schedule of deadlines using goal-setting skills.Create and update forms as requested for various events/activities.Assist with billing for all banquet functions in a timely manner which is decided by the Director of SalesOther duties as assigned.Other Functions:

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Regency Hotel Management rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the hotel's facilities. Employees who violate hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.Qualification Standards:

The individual must possess the job knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job. This being with or without reasonable accommodation, using a combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities.Education :

High School Diploma or GED required.Some college education is preferred.Experience :

3 to 5 years of previous office administrative, sales and/or hospitality field preferred.Specific job knowledge, skills, and abilities :Ability to use a computer for daily work. Strong knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing,Train and possess working knowledge of catering software and the hotel front desk property management system and point of sale systems.Communicate effectively with staff and guests, verbally and in correspondence using a strong understanding of the English language.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees (internal guests) and customers (external guests).Demonstrate organizational, planning.Some knowledge of food and beverage menus, presentation of food and beverage items, food service to guests, and room setup are helpful. (Training will be provided)Must be organized and self-motivated and possess goal-setting skills.Follow written and verbal instructions. Act independently with minimal supervision.Physical Demands:

Occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.Sit, walk, and stand for extended periods of time as performing the functions of the job.Must possess the manual dexterity to operate a computer and telephone simultaneously.Appearance Guidelines:
