Senior Data Analyst at Highmark Health in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Company : Highmark Health Job Description : JOB SUMMARY This job understands end-to-end data processes and flows and using that knowledge to design and implement data management solutions. Provides business process, system support and data quality governance through data coordination and integration to ensure efficient processes and consistent data flows to business and stakeholders. Ensures data integrity and compliance by performing data cleansing, data audit and/or data validation. Performs root-cause analysis on data related system problems and recommends or executes corrective action. Conducts testing and system validation to troubleshoot issues related to data management and system. Identifies and implements process improvements in relation to data processes. Identifies reviews and evaluates data management metrics. Recommends ways to strengthen data integrity, quality and availability across the enterprise. This job works closely with customers and design team in prioritizing data and information requirements. The incumbent provides analysis in the develop and support of HEDIS and Medicare Star data analysis. Determines how decision support systems will provide information require to make effective business decisions; translates requirements into applications that employ appropriate decision support with data management staff to define an operational framework that will define, develop and implement policies and security frameworks to ensure precise and secure delivery of knowledge and information. EDUCATION Minimum + Bachelor's Degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Computer Science or closely related field Substitutions + None EXPERIENCE Required + 5 years of relevant, progressive experience in the area of specialization + 3 years of experience with Relational Database Management Systems such as Oracle, SQL + 3 years writing advanced SQL queries + 3 years producing data mapping documentation Preferred + 5 or more years of experience with Relational Database Management Systems such as Oracle, SQL + 5 or more years writing advance SQL queries + 5 or more years producing data mapping documentation + Data Integration experience, particularly with Informatica PowerCenter. + Experience within Quality Analytics, HEDIS or Medicare Star + Proficiency in any of the following analytics tools: SQL, SAS, Alteryx, R, Python, Tableau, Power BI, Cognos Knowledge, Skills and Abilities + Strong ETL knowledge in a data warehouse ecosystem. + Strong communication skills. + Advanced skills in writing complex SQL queries. Pay Range Minimum: $50,200.00 Pay Range Maximum: $90,300.00 Base pay is determined by a variety of factors including a candidate's qualifications, experience, and expected contributions, as well as internal peer equity, market, and business considerations.
