Your Role
Are you passionate about how vehicles interact with their environment? As a
Vehicle System Test Engineering Intern
in Aptiv's Advanced Safety & User Experience team, you'll work on real-world projects to evaluate and validate state-of-the-art vehicle systems. From autonomous driving features to intuitive in-cabin interfaces, you'll have a hands-on role in testing the next generation of mobility technology.
What You'll Do:Perform comprehensive system-level testing of advanced safety systems, such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and user experience technologies.Assist in the planning, execution, and analysis of vehicle and lab tests for system validation.Work with cross-functional engineering teams to define test requirements and ensure thorough validation of complex vehicle functions.Support data acquisition, analysis, and reporting of test results, identifying performance issues and suggesting improvements.Operate and troubleshoot test equipment and tools, including in-vehicle data logging systems and simulation setups.Contribute to real-world test scenarios, supporting vehicle-level integration and calibration of advanced safety features and driver interfaces.Participate in troubleshooting sessions to identify and resolve system malfunctions or unexpected behaviors.Present findings and recommendations to team members and project leaders.What You'll Need:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.Passion for vehicle systems and an interest in cutting-edge automotive technology.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify patterns.Knowledge of automotive testing tools or experience in testing embedded systems is a plus.Hands-on experience with data analysis tools like MATLAB, Python, or similar.Knowledge of automation sequencing architecture tools like vTestStudio, NI TeststandExcellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.An eagerness to learn in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.What's In It For You:
